Is there a specific pokemon you would love to see evolve in the next generation?
I've thought about this a lot myself. Sometimes I'll consider certain pokemon that I feel really should have an evolution given to them to make them a bit more useful in battle. I'm not asking for a big list from anybody, since there are a good number of pokemon that could use an evolution in my opinion. I'm just curious what single pokemon various people would pick if they could choose just one pokemon to be given an evolution, whether it be because it's a pokemon you really like, or because you feel it would have potential if it could evolve due to its moveset, or some other reason. And please, don't go listing pokemon that already have 3 stages, as that seems like it's going to be sticking to being the maximum at this rate. Of course, branch evolutions would be fine. If I were to choose one, I think I would have to go with male Combee. I just think it's really stupid that Combee can't evolve unless it's a female, especially since it's so useless before it evolves. Sure it's got the Honey Gather ability, but that's not going to help it win any battles. And while its weakness can be easily gotten around by just catching a female one, that just makes it more frustrating than anything I would have to say. Unless you want to specifically breed them together for some reason, I just feel that encountering a male Combee is just a big slap in the face as things stand. Sorry if that sounded a bit ranty, but I just wanted to explain the reasoning for my choice.

I agree with the uselessness of a male Combee. As for a Pokemon I'd like to see evolve in the next generation, I'd like to finally see a pre-evolution for Kangaskhan.
