Hushaby, a poetic thing

I'm going to be going to sleep here in a minute and i had the sudden impulse to put it up here to see what folks would say about it. Being a poem it didn't quite fit in the story section, so i tossed it here. And yes, that's my actual name.
This, i've been told, is the single sweetest thing i've ever written.. Probably a true statement there.

Such a sweet little angel thee,
Who makes my heart swell with glee.
Why do you cry my sweet little one?
What has this world now done?
To see you cry it hurts me so.
So won’t you please let me know,
What it is that makes you cry.
You know that I tell no lie,
When I say “It’ll be okay”
I’ll hold those monsters of dreams at bay.
So don’t let them bring you fear,
For I shall always be here.
So hushaby and goodnight my little one,
Those sweet night dreams have now begun.
