Disconcerting Information (Our Forum Has Been Reported Much...)

So I just found out where to read Reported Abuses - it's where visitors to this website report us to the owners of the server space... Here's all the info I got about such reports...

05 Jul 2008 - Sexual and/or pornographic content - "There are a lot of sexual content on this site, for example: http://hpf-gallery.styles.net/v/Guan/MACROCHS.jpg.html Also there are obvious copyright infringement happening."

03 Jan 2009 - Sexual and/or pornographic content - "This website is offering adult (animal pornographic) drawn images, adult sexual roleplay, adult sexual stories and a ton of other adult-oriented pornographic things. It is clearly in violation of the forumation terms of service."

06 Jan 2009 - Sexual and/or pornographic content - "Contains animal porn! Please remove ASAP!"

06 Jan 2009 - Sexual and/or pornographic content - "Features porn, please remove this forum..."

06 Jan 2009 - Sexual and/or pornographic content - "Cartoon porn"

07 Jan 2009 - Hateful or abusive content - "This forum can not watch what they say againts others. This is a hate filled forum."

07 Jan 2009 - Defamatory content and / or affecting the integrity of a person - "THis forum is to faced."

07 Jan 2009 - Credit card fraud - "I find images of Pokemon, that are own by Nintendo, and I've seen no credit giving to him at all. The owner even tell the users to go to a Nintendo wedsite and take images from there and mod them for there own game."

07 Jan 2009 - Defamatory content and / or affecting the integrity of a person - "I have ben attack by the people who care for this forum. The owner don't do anything. This forum is one-sided when something come up. The works are unfer and always side with there freinds no ifs, and's, or buts. they are two faced. I was told by one of the works to not to bad mouth another user. I didn't even start and was ban. But the next day, I was told by a friend who gos there was bad-mouthing me like there's no tomorrow. Who that user was put on the team who care for the forum. This is just not fer."

07 Jan 2009 - Copyright infringment - "Steeling pokemon images right from Nintendo without even giving any or in all credit to them at look. They evenmod them and try to call them there own."

I have said in the past that the existence of this forum skirts some rules. Forumation, our host, intends its forums to be sqeaky-clean, more or less. However, I cautiously produced this site, and it has existed up until now without incident.

But it seems with a new year has come a sudden influx of reports against us, as you see above....4 reports in 4 days is very...unencouraging. =/

As far as I know, if Forumation does decide to do something about this, then I would be PM'd by a "OnlineGuardian" about it. The message another forum owner in the same boat as me recieved was... "Dear [forum name] forum administrator(s), it appears that your forum doesn't respect our Terms of service. Our service is free, so we are urged to only display legal content on the forums. You have have until [date] to be in conformity. After this delay, we will have to delete your forum if it still isn't in conformity." So it sounds like forum deletion doesn't happen just...unexpectedly. Fortunately enough.

I'm going to attempt to reduce our forum's 'searchability'. Put it more under the radar. I thought it was great for Google to put us more on the map, but it seems a great number of people are stumbling onto this forum whom wish to do nothing more than blow the whistle against us...

I am a bit worried about all this...I will be updating the above abuse list if more are reported. (And god, I hope that doesn't happen...)

I guess my main question is...if we're really put in a grind, should we compromise (ie, remove all sexual things...this may not work though, since the uninformed individual may mark even platonic soft vore as sexual...), or just close our doors?

I hate to get everyone worried, but...this could very easily turn into a serious issue. ;_; It's better to get you all worried than it is to have you all suddenly find the forum has disappeared, I figure...

Here the only thing that is dangerous is the thing about pornography- even if it's a drawing or roleplaying. I wonder how much time the forum will be safe in the hosting it has.

I'll only say something: I suggest you go looking for another server and start to migrate to there. And if for some reason they disable/delete/kill the current version of HPF, don't feel down, here we'll support you.

And for the current users on there, I suggest you start to save your files just in case. :/

I didn't knew that they note you first, and that's the reason why I worried so much. In the other hand, you clearly warned, warned and warned, and before registering, nothing can be seen from the outside. I suggest to disable chat for outcomers too, if possible.

Charem... I may have a backup plan in case this site gets the can... Yesturday, I took the liberty of creating a new forum. It needs work but I think of may provide us with a good back up plan for all members on this site. I do not beleive I have requested any major search engines to show this site that imade so it may be relitavely safe. Furland.omgforum.net is the site adress. Please regester soon just in case! Also, if anyone actually decides to join and this site goes down, I could try to change the stupid name. He, no creativity. LOL. I just don't want to lose you guys..

My oppion on this is find a server that does allow this sort of thing and move there. If it costs money then try and relly on donations from users. We could even try charity auctions and junk to raise funds for it or something.

As a side note the person (whomever it may be) who filed these reports is a moron. Sure we've got porn, no hiding that, but the other stuff is just plain stupid. We're in no way doing credit card fraud, since we don't even have any features that use credit. Since we're free the whoel copry right thing is cosure under parody laws. Also what kind of idiot doesn't know the difference between "to" and "two", that's kindergarden crap. Seriously.

Mage: There's already plans of that. Somebody very kind is willing to pay a $30 a month fee for us to have our own server space, with no rules we have to follow. I'm working it out further with them...our issue is that we would have to build a forum from scratch, and I'm not even close to being a programmer really...not to mention I really dont have the time to invest in such an activity even if I -did- have the programming knowledge necessary. In other words, I need to find a programmer first...

Hmm...do you honistly think that if you hadn't posted that topic no one else would have? I find that since Yoshi was acting the way he was a hate topic was inevitable, even if you hadn't created it I think some one would have, obveosly other people didn't like him, so I would say that there was nothing that could have been done to stop that topic from being created, if I had knowen what he had done I probably would have created it, there are some things that just happen even if everyone trys to avoid them, but blaming your self for something that would have happened anyway dosn't solve anything, the best thing we can do is pick up the shatered remains and try to put them back together, now I suppose you could come back and say that they might not have made the topic, but...dose it make a diference, would it have been better for you not to have exspresed your emotions and bottled them up, there are many things that are out of our control even if we think we can be in control.

but then you're getting into a few more topics: What does vore mean to you? Personally I don't know it beyond a sexual thing. To me vore is just a fetish. But again I'm biased being a very explicit sexual vore drawing artist.

Vore without the sex, I mean you could have it, but it would cut out every type of vore except oral since every other orifice is considered as such.

I mean sure, I vore around some times just for the playful aspect, but it's definitely not the main reason why I like it. Again, this is just me. I'm a horny bastard so I'm probably on one of the extreme ends of the spectrum.

This world is corrupt and most of the inhabitants that live here I hate to say are corrupt as well. But not all are corrupt in a bad way see, for I am corrupt and I will openly admit that.
