New Function: Reporting User Posts

Since there has been a bit of fighting recently on the forums, I decided to enable another new feature: the "Report Post" button. This button appears at the top of everyone's posts, as an "!" in the middle of a triangle.

If a user says something they shouldn't in a post, click the ! button in that post. You will be brought to a new screen where you explain why you made the report, and then you send it much like a PM. Once you do this, I be new notified of the new report via pop-up message, next time I visit the forum.

Hopefully this will allow for us admins to more quickly deal with issues on the forum. Do not abuse this function unnecessarily, however. Abusers/spammers of this function will have their report ability blocked.

(Extra note: The '!' triangle icon with a lock in the bottom-right corner is for mod/admin use only. Normal users, use the icon without the lock to make reports.)

that's a good improvement...though one question...if the mod/admin lock is for, well mods/admins, then why do normal members have it?

I suppose it would be the simplicity of making it appear for everyone, but only if you have a 'key' to use it, will it function. Those that have the key (Mod/Admin) can use it. I'm just guessing...

The 'lock' one just always appears. It can't be used b members though, so it's okay. Just ignore that one, for those of you who are members.

If you are a mod/admin, what does that special button do? Just curious.

I think it stops others reporting the post that was placed...possibly to stop repeated reporting over the matter.
